My Evening Routine

Two weeks ago, I posted my morning routine so now it’s time for the other end of the day! I’ve been trying to be more intentional with my evening routine, but to be honest, it’s more of a “whatever happens, happens” sort of deal. So, here are some of the steps of my evening routine!


-The first step almost always is to brush my teeth. Occasionally I’ll put on my pajamas first, but usually I brush my teeth first.


-Then, skincare. My skin care routine rotates. I always wash my face with my Youth to the People Super Food Cleanser. The next step changes. Some nights I use my YTTP Kombucha Toner, some nights I use my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, and if I’m feeling like really pampering myself some nights, I’ll use my YTTP Dream Mask. Another product I tend to use at night, mostly before the evening routine really starts, is the YTTP Adaptogen Mist. I’m obsessed with it. These products can be kind of pricey (I'm looking at you Advanced Night Repair), but I really believe that skincare is worth spending a little more money on!


-After my teeth and skin are clean it’s time for pajamas. If I’m being honest, usually that’s a t-shirt and shorts. But some nights I’ll get super cozy. (But TBH – I NEVER wear the onesie in the picture to sleep. TOO HOT!)


-Some nights I like to throw on some vinyl and check my social media or do some work or just chill. Current favorites – Niall Horan “Flicker”, Harry Styles “Fine Line” and Jonas Brothers “Happiness Begins”.


-If I don’t listen to music, sometimes I’ll throw on something from Netflix that I don’t need to pay too much attention too. Usually it’s a show I’ve seen a million times before, or an episode of Marie Kondo’s show.


-Then I take my nighttime meds, throw my throw pillows on the floor and it’s time for bed.


So, there you have it! It’s not exciting, it’s not elaborate, it just is. And like my morning routine, it’s always evolving. So, don’t be surprised if the next time you see me post about it, it’s completely different!


I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Find comfort in your routines during this time, it’s one of the few things that is helping me!
