The end of April ended up being a bit of a crazy time for me and I did not get very much reading time. But the few books I did read were so incredible that I cannot wait to tell you more about them!
Talia Hibbert has done it again. This series is absolutely delightful, and as one of three sisters, it's nice to read about the Brown sisters and not only just their romances and journeys, but also their bond - which was super strong in this book! Each of these stories has been equal parts delightful, sexy, honest and raw and Eve's story was no different. I loved Jacob and Eve's relationship, which was a charming enemies to lovers (think less anger, more annoyance). I also loved how they both felt like different-than-each other and fully rounded neurodivergent characters, instead of a caricature of neurodiversity that sometimes can be found in literature. All in all, this was a fabulous book!

People had warned me that this book just feels like a basic Cinderella retelling and that it wasn't their favorite of the series, so I went into it not expecting much... Clearly those people have no soul because I LOVED this book, and though yes, it is definitely a Cinderella retelling at its core, it still feels vulnerable and unique and the characters are relatable in more than just that they are recognizable because we know the trope. Benedict and Sophie may be my new favorite Bridgerton couple. Sophie is more than just your typical resilient Cinderella character, and Benedict is so much more delightful on the page than on I expected. I cried on an airplane reading this book, and I try to avoid crying in public as much as possible, so this is definitely a winner for me!

Not gonna lie, I bought this book because the cover is adorable, which is a habit I fall into often with YA books, but this one did not disappoint. Laura Taylor Namey has written a delightful coming of age story that feels familiar (young girl struggles and family sends her away to find herself) but also completely unique. There's self discovery, family bonds, romance, a mystery and so much more (including lots and lots of pastries, I was constantly craving dessert while reading this). I highly recommend this charming read!

I never want Leigh Bardugo to stop writing Grishaverse books. I could read about this world forever. I really enjoyed getting to be back in Ravka after the Six of Crows duology with some of our favorite Grisha and royals. As these characters get older, the more I relate to them and care about their journeys. I loved getting to have Nikolai and Zoya and Nina POV and meeting some incredible new characters. The ending murdered me and now I immediately have to go read Rule of Wolves.
