I didn't read as much over the last few weeks as I would've liked, but I definitely read some quality books! After devouring the Grishaverse I really needed a romance break before I could jump into more fantasy!

I had heard such great things about this book and it's sequel that I couldn't wait to jump in. Chloe Brown is an EXTREMELY relatable character for me and I didn't expect to enjoy and relate to her story so much. This book was charming, insightful and a little bit spicy and it got me really excited to read about the other two Brown sisters! I highly recommend it.

I didn't think any of the other Brown sisters could be more relatable for me than Chloe... but then I met Dani... A modern witch and work-a-holic? Sounds about right. Dani and Zafir are so precious and I really enjoyed how much both of them grew in and out of their relationship with each other in this book. Will Eve stack up to her sisters? Tune in to the next RwK to find out!

The Roommate was my favorite romance book of 2020 and so when I saw that Rosie Danan was writing a book about Naomi finding love, I couldn't miss out on the opportunity for more content about my favorite bi-con former pornstar turned sex education mogul and a hot rabbi! Ethan is absolutely delightful and Naomi is as empowering as I dreamed her to be. Their love is unique and powerful and I really really loved it! I want more!

Rating: ★★★★★

Read if you love: unconventional romance, badass women, sex positivity, hot rabbis?

As someone who hasn't read a lot of modern urban fantasy, this book really intrigued me. I loved the idea of going back and forth between a fictional magical world and Texas. I did really enjoy this book. It was hard to get into at first, and I think that is mostly because the idea of a 16 year old Texan girl having magical powers and using them in urban Texas. But once the main conflict set in all of the twists and turns and excitement really hooked me. I will say the ending was a little disappointing, but only because I didn't realize there was going to be a sequel. Now that I know it isn't a standalone I'm excited to see what comes next.

Rating: ★★★★
