Read with Kayla - May 2nd to 16th

This weekend's Read with Kayla is a little smaller than usual because work is picking up and I read some long books. But this list is small but mighty!

1. The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Blood and Ash series is one of my absolute guilty pleasures. I love Poppy and Casteel and this book did not disappoint! I love seeing Poppy grow in her strength and power and her and Casteel's relationship grow as well. This book was jam-packed with plot twists and excitement and I cannot wait until the fourth book next year!

2. Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

I'd heard a lot of mixed feelings about this most recent book in the Grishaverse, and I can understand where they came from. This book is packed with twists, shocks, and action. There is also a lot of sentimentality for fans of all of the Grishaverse novels. I'm really hoping that the set up at the end leads Leigh to write a fourth duology/trilogy in this universe because I'd love to see the adventure that the ending sets up. I never ever want Leigh to stop writing the Grishaverse.

3. Sweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley

This book was super sweet and I definitely enjoyed it. Tamsin and Wren are both great characters and I really enjoyed watching their journey throughout this book. It definitely took some time for me to get into it, and I did guess the big plot twist, but even through all of that I would say it was a good read!
